Bristol Wanderers Charity Golf Day Raises £4,850 for Unique Voice
Community and sports-focused fundraisers, the Bristol Wanderers have raised a remarkable £4,850 in support of locally-based Community Interest Company, Unique Voice. The Bristol Wanderers’ 12th Annual Golf Day, held recently at Shirehampton Park Golf Club, saw more than 30 teams tee off under sunny skies in aid of Unique Voice’s vital work.
Unique Voice, now in its 14th year of delivering real, positive social impact in Bristol communities, supports children and young people through the power of creative arts-based mediums; tackling sensitive social issues, improving their self-esteem, mental health and sense of autonomy.
Paul Beet and Jon Day from the Bristol Wanderers presented the generous sum of £4,850 to Unique Voice this week, which will help the team to continue their valuable work with children and young people across Bristol, delivering creative and impactful projects in the community.
Commenting on the fundraising, Paul Beet, Co-founder of the Bristol Wanderers and Managing Director of Astra Security said: “We are proud to support Unique Voice as our Charitable Organisation of the Year, and grateful to all the golfers, sponsors, and volunteers who made the golf day such a success. Seeing over thirty teams out on the course and the strong community spirit made this event truly special. We’re delighted to support Unique Voice and the incredible work they do empowering young people through creative and community programmes.”
Cat Sparkes-Walsh, Co-founder and Director at Unique Voice, added: “We’re so grateful to Bristol Wanderers for choosing us as the beneficiary of this event and for the outstanding support of everyone involved. These funds will make a meaningful difference in our work delivering our impactful programmes to children and young people here in Bristol.”
