The Results of the Triple R Tour

Recognise, Report and Resolve all forms of bullying was the aim for the recent Triple R Anti Bullying Tour, now hear from the children who experienced the project in Bristol as they tell us what benefited them.

We asked Describe the project in 3 three words: (Here are some of their Responses)

We asked What was your favourite activity?

16 of the year 3 and 4 participants chose Area Mash Up which is a game designed to raise awareness of racial bullying by awarding street names and experiencing other communities.

14 of the year 5 and 6 participants chose Cyber Terminology” which is an activity that introduces, recognises and explores the different types of cyber bullying that can occur. This activity challenges the participants to match the cyber word with the correct definition.

We asked What did you learn today about bullying? (Here are some of their responses)

  • The impact bullying can have
  • How to recognise and report bullying
  • Never Bully, you will regret it
  • That someone’s past could be the reason why they bully other people
  • Never fight back or retaliate to bullying
  • The different types of cyber bullying

We asked What would you do if you were being bullied? (Here are some of their top responses)

  • 12 of the year 3 and 4 participants said would tell the teacher
  • 11 of the year 3 and 4 participants said they would use the Triple R Machine and Slogan
  • 4 of the year 3 and 4 participants said they would stand up for themselves
  • 3 of the year3 and 4 participants said they would tell their parents
  • 2 of the year 3 and 4 participants said other or did not complete
  • 14 of the year 5 and 6 participants said would tell the teacher
  • 11 of the year 5 and 6 participants said they would use the Triple R Machine and Slogan
  • 1 of the year 5 and 6 participants said they would stand up for themselves
  • 1 of the year 5 and 6 participants said they would tell their parents
  • 1 of the year 5 and 6 participants said other or did not complete

We asked Would you use the Triple R anti bullying machine we provided at your school if you were being bullied?

  • 27 of the year 3 and 4 participants said Yes
  • 3 of the year 3 and 4 participants said No
  • 2 of the year 3 and 4 participants said Maybe
  • 25 of the year 5 and 6 participants said Yes
  • 2 of the year 5 and 6 participants said No
  • 1 of the year 3 and 4 participants said Maybe

We asked What will you take away with you today?

“That I shouldn’t keep bullying in, I should be brave and tell someone”

“Never let bullying happen”

“Always tell someone if you’re not happy”

“Learning and using Triple R – Recognise, Report and Resolve”

“Not to bully someone else because you were bullied before”
