About the Resource

Safer Together has been created for teachers, educators, youth workers, community organisations and parents/carers who want to better understand the pressures young people face and how trusted adults can support them. These resources are free to use and designed to support calm, constructive conversations with young people.

This resource has been developed by creative education provider Unique Voice CIC, in partnership with Crimestoppers in the West Country and Avon & Somerset Police. For over 10 years, we have worked together on youth crime prevention through the ‘What Would You Do?’ project. Through Safer Together, we are sharing our knowledge and practical resources to support communities, schools and families to open safe, constructive conversations with young people.  Young people from Bristol secondary schools helped to develop the resource, ensuring the resource reflects the real experiences and concerns young people are facing today.

Opening conversations about knife violence can feel difficult. Safer Together helps trusted adults approach these conversations calmly and safely.
