HR & Business Administrator
We are recruiting for an HR & Business Administrator, this role will offer an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the smooth, professional and values-led running of our organisation.
This role sits at the heart of our business support function and is ideal for someone who is highly organised, confident with systems and administration, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. While we are a creative organisation working with young people, this role does not require a background in the arts or youth sector. We welcome applicants with strong, transferable administration and people-focused skills from a wide range of professional settings.
Working closely with the Business Manager and Senior Leadership Team, you will take responsibility for HR and safer recruitment administration, maintain organisational systems and records, support data and compliance processes, and provide high-quality administrative and logistical support across the organisation.
You will often be the first point of contact for Unique Voice, communicating with schools, professionals, parents and carers. As such, excellent communication skills, professionalism and attention to detail are essential.
What the role involves
Managing HR and people administration, including recruitment and onboarding of staff and freelancers
Coordinating safer recruitment processes such as DBS checks, references and documentation
Maintaining accurate HR, compliance and organisational records
Managing administrative systems, spreadsheets, trackers and shared inboxes
Supporting data management and GDPR compliance
Providing professional front-line communication via phone and email
Supporting events, training sessions and meetings, including logistics and resources
Contributing to efficient, well-organised systems that enable creative work to thrive
What we’re looking for
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to juggle competing priorities
Strong administration experience, including managing systems, records and processes
High attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when handling sensitive or confidential information
Confidence using digital tools, including spreadsheets, shared drives and administrative software
Clear, professional communication skills, both written and verbal
Experience supporting HR, recruitment or compliance processes
A calm, proactive approach to problem-solving in a busy environment
A strong commitment to safeguarding, confidentiality and values-led working
Experience in small organisations, education, youth, charity or creative sectors is welcomed but not essential.
