Now Recruiting! Actors and Workshop Leaders Needed For Bristol Tour
2 x MALE and 1 x FEMALE CASTING: Unique Voice are looking for three young, expressive and passionate actors and workshop facilitators aged 18-29 to be considered for our Theatre In Education Anti-bullying tour of Bristol schools.
Roles/ Positions available:
Last year our ‘Triple R to Bullying’ project visited over 2,500 young people in the UK. “Repeat After Me” is the secondary tailored drama performance which is followed by interactive workshops.
The position has two different roles attached to it, one as an acting role in “Repeat After Me” and the other as a workshop leader. If successful you will be required to undertake both roles on the tour. Full training and support is provided for both roles so it’s not essential you are fully trained in both.
You will be required to creatively work with the directors of Unique Voice and the existing team to ensure the Repeat After Me performance and characters are realistic and authentic to the issue being explored. Pre-tour work includes rehearsals and training.
Assistant Workshop Leader
Responsibilities include: To support the head workshop leader within the sessions, this could mean you undertaking particular activities that your head leader delegates to you. In general your role requires you to ensure every child is participating and that you are supporting them throughout the sessions. Pre-tour work includes training.

Phase 1 of the tour: Every weekday (school hours) between Monday 23rd September – Friday 4th October
Training and rehearsal Monday 16th September – EveningWednesday 18th September – Evening Thursday 19th September – Evening
Phase 2 of the tour: Every weekday (school hours) between Monday 25th November – Friday 29th November (Likely to extend)
Training and Rehearsal Evenings during the W/B 18th November (Exact time and dates TBC)
To be considered you must have everything specified below:
- A clear existing CRB/DBS (Please note that successful applicants will need to process a new DBS through Unique Voice.
- A passion for the arts, great enthusiasm to use your creativity to raising awareness of issues
- Be flexible, reliable , punctual and able to work within a dynamic team
- A passion for working with young people
- Ability to participate in elements of physical theatre
- Strong stage presence, acting skills and creativity
- References from previous employers
- A base within Bristol
- Full commitment to the above dates
