Transitioning to secondary school can be a very daunting time for children. Though our transition work we aim to help those children develop in confidence and understanding, enabling them to start the new academic year with excitement and determination.
We have a number of programs available to schools, all varying in cost – we understand that your budgets for transition have been cut, so we aim to be as accommodating as possible.
A set number of days in the summer holidays, where we explore your priorities; getting to know the school, understanding the ethos and rules, making new friends, meeting teachers and learning a bit about the subjects.
A program working with your new students whilst they are still in year 6. Bringing them from the primary school to meet older students and see their new setting.
The champion model, where we work with your current students and train them to be peer mentor to the new year 7’s.
Term 1 integration program, working with the new year 7’s over the course of the first academic term to help them integrate smoothy into the school.
