Unique Voice is a nationally accredited social enterprise working frontline in schools and communities across the South West. Delivering creative programmes using the arts as a medium to make a positive and long-lasting social impact.

We create programmes and films designed to enable young people to learn, develop and grow in all aspects of their social emotional development. We provide topical and engaging programmes on subjects such as mental health, crime and anti-bullying with much of our work aligned to safeguarding and early intervention based services through performance, film and workshop programmes.

The role

We’re recruiting for a Social Media Assistant to join our small but mighty UV team. We require someone who is able to create and schedule engaging social media content. You will need to work well as part of a team, completing tasks efficiently and to a high standard and with the ability to work independently. 

This role would suit someone who is skilled on all social media channels and enjoys being online. The Social Media Assistant will be imaginative and have the ability to relay Unique Voice updates and brand messaging effectively to our followers. 

Please note this position has the option of being remote if candidates can access a device to successfully complete the role e.g. their own laptop. If candidates do not have access to a device, they will be required to work at the UV office in Bishopston, Bristol.

Role responsibilities

  • Responsible for Unique Voice’s social media accounts, namely Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and are testing content on new channels such as Tik Tok.
  • To support the external online communications of Unique Voice.
  • Monitoring social media platforms to help us understand what content is performing well and flagging any issues.
  • Deliver engaging social media content to drive interactions and engagement
  • Build and maintain a diverse and successful UV online community
  • Promote UV programmes and offers using online ads and digital content
  • Responsible for scheduling social media content
  • Work with the wider UV team to define, review and approve plans for social media channels
  • Support and implement a UV social media strategy
  • Responding to social media enquiries with appropriate responses

Essential requirements

  • Interest in working within social media marketing 
  • Strong communicator – both written and verbal
  • Positive, friendly attitude with a willingness to learn
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Creative and imaginative
  • Excellent social media knowledge and skills
  • Excellent organisational skills

Desirable requirements 

  • Full Enhanced DBS
  • Experience within a similar role
  • Experience of working in the third sector
  • Knowledge of Hootsuite and Canva 

The successful candidate will be given training necessary to complete this role.
