The project or aim I want to book Unique Voice for isn’t listed. Can you create it for me?

We know that every setting is unique. Therefore if a certain issue or subject matter that you would like to see covered is not listed, please contact us directly to discuss your needs. All of our work is created on real experiences and we welcome the opportunity to create new, bespoke packages. For this we require time for a detailed discussion/focus groups, allowing us to produce work that reaches your aims.

Why do schools book Unique Voice?

Many schools choose us for our excellent reputation in building trusting relationships with children, and the ability to find effective methods of communication with them. We know it is a challenge to ensure PSHE (Physical Social Health Education) not only meets OFSTED and school requirements, but that it is engaging for young people. This is our area of expertise.

Schools often express how beneficial and supportive PSHE can be when it is delivered by a non-member of the teaching staff, due to the issues explored and the sheer scale of the subjects covered. We provide a platform to get each school talking about poignant issues, using a whole school approach. Schools book us to enhance young people’s learning through creative mediums, which are accessible to all learning styles and needs. Many mainstream, private, and special needs schools know that we provide high quality experiences that can also be monitored and evaluated, shaping future interventions and ongoing work.

Do you work with organisations and businesses?

Yes, we have a wide range of services and a wealth of experience in creating work to serve the local need and to enhance local businesses.

I’ve booked Unique Voice, what happens next?

Easy! You will receive a confirmation email which clearly outlines the project logistics and the service agreement, then you can sit back and relax with the knowledge that we are busy planning and creating a project to suit your needs. Our team are briefed in detail and always arrive in plenty of time on the day/s of your booking, eager to get going.

Who will be delivering the service I have booked?

Our professional and creative DBS checked leaders will be assigned to your service. Here at Unique Voice our team are not just experienced in acting or workshop facilitation; they are approachable people that do this job because they are passionate about supporting young people. They are renowned for having a listening ear, dynamic personalities and for sharing their wealth of life experience to encourage the participants in our sessions.

How do you prove that you are making a difference?

We are committed to evaluating every project we undertake. Not only do we produce and share data with the schools based on their sessions, we also write reports and help shape relationships with local support services based on the data from our projects. Our data allows us to continue to understand young people’s needs and in turn makes our team more in tune with the youth of today.

Do you cater for children’s specific needs?

We work with young people of all backgrounds, abilities and learning styles. We are trained in child protection, have leaders who are experienced in positive behaviour management and have worked with a vast number of children who have emotional/learning difficulties. We ensure that our work is adapted to their needs whether that be to boost their confidence or to help recognise positive and negative behaviour.

What’s your secret?

When we plan our projects we ensure that at the heart of it all is the voice of people who have experienced this issue. Before we think about the content, we think “What is the message?” and more importantly “How we can help young people to feel empathy and understanding?”, it’s then that we call upon the medium of drama; A creative tool that allows people to freely speak their mind and express themselves. Drama remains the centre of all of our sessions, whether we use fictional characters or real life experiences, participants want to get involved. We are committed to using this creative subject to enhancing community wellbeing – now and in the future.

I want to join your team!

Wonderful! We would love to hear from you. We welcome new team members from all walks of life to deliver a range of our services. We pride ourselves on treating all team members equally with training and support in their professional development within Unique Voice. Our team is at the heart of what we do and we invest everything into ensuring they are the very best that they can be.

Do you offer work experience placements or volunteer opportunities?

We are always pleased to hear from young people looking to pursue a creative and/or educational career. As a small team who work with young people daily, students and graduates are guaranteed encouragement and a tailor made placement with us that benefits them.

Do you just work in Bristol?

No, Bristol is the company’s base and main working area, but our projects take us far and wide across the UK. (Please note that additional expenses may be added to the fee in some cases.)
